Alum highlighted in HuffingtonPost Veteran's Day story

On November 11, the HuffingtonPost ran a story that featured a Gettysburg College alumn who served during World War II. The story, written by the alumn's daughter, focuses on how his love for his girlfriend, and later wife, transcended the war.

My mother volunteered to serve her country the day she graduated from nursing school. My father was ROTC at Gettysburg College and when World War II broke out, he was already an officer at Fort Devens, Mass. Where my mom did her basic training.
