On June 18, the Harrisburg Patriot-News re-ran an 1863 Harrisburg Patriot & Union article that mentions Pennsylvania College (now Gettysburg College).
From the Patriot:
TROOPS FROM GETTYSBURG. — The Pennsylvania College, Gettysburg, sent a company of troops to this place yesterday for the defence of the State. They were under the command of Capt. Klinepeter, and were enlisted from the ranks of the students at the above named college, which is closed for the present. They are prepared to use a logic a little more straightforward than Whateley’s in order to convince the rebels that they are out of place in this section. Well done, Gettysburg!
