Groundbreaking for new athletic center makes headlines

The groundbreaking for the new Center for Athletics, Recreation, and Fitness was the topic of several articles this summer regarding colleges and universities expanding their sports facilities. The Chronicle of Higher
Education covered the event and featured the College in its July 11 issue. The Philadelphia Inquirer, Harrisburg Patriot News, and many local media outlets also wrote about the new building.

"Part of providing a strong experience at a college like ours is also providing adequate facilities, and that's what we are trying to do," said Janet Morgan Riggs '77, interim president.
