Photo of the Day Submission Guidelines

Anyone is welcome to submit an image for consideration as a Photo of the Day.

Photos must be closely connected to Gettysburg College, but potential subject matter is as wide as your imagination. Examples might be: an off-campus social gathering of alumni; an alumna and her daughter atop a mountain with a Gettysburg College flag; a nostalgic or historic image of life on campus in days gone by; participants in a recent event on campus; a faculty or staff member completing a marathon for charity; a beautiful scene on campus.

To submit, please email a jpg attachment to jhale@gettysburg.edu with "Photo of the Day" in the subject line. Please send the largest available image. Please include caption information identifying individuals (with class year if applicable) and describing the event pictured. Generally, a new photo will be posted daily Monday through Friday.

By submitting an image to Photo of the Day, you grant Gettysburg College permission to use it on the College website, in other College publications, the Gettysburg College Fan Page on Facebook, and elsewhere. You can also post all of your Gettysburg images directly on the Fan Page.

Alumni should post their wedding and new-baby photos in the class news section of myGettysburg. It's easy to create an account.
