Hilary Green '10, Liz Heisler '12, and English Prof. Chris Fee led a a group including Brittany ’12, Jake ’12, Ryan ’12, Doug Brouder ’83 and Joe Lynch ’85, who braved torrential rains, spooky mists, and paths ankle-deep in rushing water to help maintain a stretch of the Appalachian Trail. They hiked about three miles as they cut back brush, cleared erosion control ditches, removed trash, dug out fire pits, scrubbed out the Birch Run Shelter, and stained one side of that structure, which had been vandalized.
