Last summer, Douglas J. Berkowitz and Melissa Gagermeier, both Class of 2010, traveled to South Korea, Singapore and Thailand with sociology Prof. VoonChin Phua, to study multicultural tourism. Berkowitz presented their research findings at the International Colloquium on Tourism and Leisure in Bangkok. They also collaborated on a corresponding photography exhibit at Musselman Library at Musselman Library. The students are pictured at Wat Pho, a temple of the reclining Buddha in Bangkok.
