Physics Prof. Larry Marschall and Akbar Rizvi ’99 collected data on the explosion of a supernova from the Gettysburg Observatory, and that information later became part of research that won the Nobel Prize in Physics. Marschall (left) and Rizvi (right) are pictured during their 1997 trip to the National Undergraduate Research Observatory (NURO).
