Paul Di Salvo ’13 won first place overall in the Off-Campus Studies Photo Contest for his image titled "Leon Dormido." Literally meaning “Sleeping Lion," this famous rock is a landmark of the Galapagos Islands and named after the imaginative outline of a lion's head on the waters surface and his back up in the air. Apparently the great blue heron (right) isn't afraid of this lion. An environmental studies major, Di Salvo spent the fall 2011 semester studying in Ecuador.
