Work by senior art students will be exhibited at Gettysburg College's Schmucker Art Gallery beginning Wednesday, April 27, and art history students will discuss their research Friday, April 29.

Sculpture, photography, painting, film, installation, ceramics, and fashion designs will be on display through May 22. An opening reception is planned April 27 at 5 p.m.

All gallery events are free and open to the public. The fully accessible gallery is on the main floor of Schmucker Hall at North Washington and Water streets. The entrance is on the building's west side, away from the street. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Senior art majors whose work will be on display are Casey Bialek, Claire Ferrara, Katherine Freyof, Teresa Myers, Elizabeth Negas, Courtney O'Keefe, Sally Quinn, Alexandra Sickles, Brittany Simmonds, and Sophia Spector.

The Department of Art and Art History's annual Art History Symposium is planned April 29 at 3:30 p.m. in the campus Science Center's Room 200. The public is welcome as students present 15-minute summations of their work as part of a campuswide student research colloquium:
