Gettysburg College wins women's lacrosse NCAA national championship

Heston Summer Experience

The Bullets women's lacrosse team defeated Bowdoin 16-5 in the NCAA Division III title game to win Gettysburg College's first national championship.

Hannah Church led the way with 5 goals and 3 assists, while Kelsey Markiewicz added 4 goals and 2 assists.

Gettysburg's only other national team championship is 1980's field hockey AIAW Division III title. Women's lacrosse Head Coach Carol Cantele '83 was also a member of that team.
