Class of 2018 letters

Gettysburg College has sent acceptance letters to prospective members of the Class of 2018.

Applications totaled nearly 5,000 representing 46 states and 101 countries.

Accepted students can join the Class of 2018 Facebook group to connect with their future classmates. They can also find important updates and information on the accepted student website that features information on everything from orientation and first-year seminars to dining and housing. Accepted students can tag their tweets with #gburg2018.

Accepted and enrolled students and their families are invited to campus April 12 for Get Acquainted Day, an annual springtime celebration that offers opportunities to talk to current students, interact with professors from all of the academic departments, tour the campus community and more.

Accepted students are also encouraged to explore the Gettysburg dictionary and the campus photo gallery.

The Class of 2018 will eventually include approximately 700 members.

Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition that includes Rhodes Scholars, a Nobel laureate and other distinguished scholars among its alumni. The college enrolls 2,600 undergraduate students and is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.
