Retention and graduate rates on the rise

  Graduation

For the past 6 years, we have seen marked improvement in the entering class profile. This trend is now benefiting the College in both retention and graduate rates. The first-year retention rate is 90.96% and the sophomore rate is 85.94%. The Class of 2006 has a 5-year graduation rate of 81.7%, the highest in Gettysburg history. This trend suggests we can expect continued improvement in our graduation rates. Visit the Institutional Analysis website to learn more about both retention and graduation rates.

Web Training Takes Place in January

  Podcast

At the start of each semester Web Communications takes time to offer intense web training opportunities for all web liaisons. The sessions are offered over two days and start with beginner skill sets ending on the second day with expert level skill sets. Ten liaisons were able to participate this January and the feedback was once again positive.

Not every department and office is able to spare the time to attend these trainings so Web Communications has also created training videos to assist liaisons as they update their websites. This January we were able to add training videos on updating Academic Major and Minor pages as well as Academic Department pages.

With a February 1 deadline approaching the Admissions Office is in the middle of the top application producing weeks where numbers change daily. Which is 2% below last year's record number and 15% ahead of the year before. There are 172 ED2 applications and this is 34% ahead of last year to date.   All signs indicate that we are tracking towards another strong application year.
