Hi! I'm Garrett Kost and I am excited to be one of your Orientation Leaders this year at Gettysburg College! After already spending one year here at Gettysburg, I caught on quick to the things to do here in town and around campus. I was showed the opportunities to excel and took them! Now I can't wait to pass them on to all of you. As a History major, I usually spend all my time in Weidensall Hall or McKnight Hall for German studies. I am also a minor with Civil War Era Studies department and have worked closely with the Civil War Institute in the past. I have had the opportunity to intern with the Gettysburg National Military Park through the Institute and I grew immensely in my time there. In my spare time you'll probably see me around the battlefield on a run, in the 4th floor of the Library, or at the Jaeger Center. I play club Rugby and hope to help the team on to a great season. Living at the Appleford Inn (Civil War House) I'll be in a living environment that also loves history! Finally, one of the most important things about me is that I am in Army ROTC and can easily say that that is the single most greatest program that has changed my life. When I get to meet you all, I'll gladly explain these opportunities and others when you get to Gettysburg!
Lilianna Mischke is a Sophomore Biology major from Baltimore, Maryland. She is currently taking courses for the pre-veterinary track and is also planning on minoring in Philosophy. She is constantly looking for more opportunities to get involved on campus, but, currently, she is the Volunteer and Activities Coordinator for the Pre-Veterinary Club and a member of GECO and Biosphere and also loves volunteering at the Painted Turtle Farm. In her free time, she's probably running through the battlefields, reading, or soaking in some sunshine and fresh air; walking around town with her friends and finding good places to eat is also a big go-to. She's super stoked for her first year working with the Office of Residential and First-Year Programs and can't wait to meet the class of 2022!
James is a member of the Class of 2020. He is from Meadville, Pennsylvania. This will be his second year being an Orientation Leader. James is a Political Science major, focusing on political theory and American government. Along with being a brother of the fraternity of Lambda Chi Alpha, James is involved with Catholic Campus Ministry, and loves participating in intramurals, especially basketball. James just returned from studying in Galway, Ireland for the summer. He is a big Boston sports fan, and loves playing golf in his free time. He looks forward to getting to know all of the Class of 2022!
Piper is a sophomore from Berryville Virginia and she is interested in environmental science. In her free time she enjoys hiking, watching 30 Rock, and spending time with her dog, Millie. On campus, she likes getting smoothies from The Dive and sitting in the adirondack chairs on Stine Lake. She can't wait to meet the class of 2022 and help them find their place on campus!
Residence Life Staff
A senior mathematics and psychology double major, Bailey is excited to be back in Huber Hall to serve as the Residence Coordinator for his third year on RFYP staff. Bailey grew up mostly in South Carolina, but has lived in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania since beginning high school. When he is not serving Huber Hall, he is working as a Peer Learning Associate for Abstract Mathematics I (the best course at Gettysburg), conducting research in the Psychology department, serving as co-chair of the Honor Commission, explaining to people that his name shows up as "Jason B. Heath" on emails because he goes by his middle name, or struggling with math homework/research. You can usually find him listening to Imagine Dragons with his trusty, big, blue headphones. Bailey can't wait to welcome our newest community members to Gettysburg College and work with/get to know them this year!
I’m Marni Granzow, and I am so excited to be the RA for Huber 3. I am a rising sophomore and will be majoring in Health Sciences with the hopes of attending medical school. I’m from Hummelstown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Lower Dauphin High School. I will also be the PLA for the first-year seminar, Death and the Meaning of Life, taught by Professor Myers.

Joey is also very passionate about biology research and hopes to pursue a PhD in the biomedical sciences. In his free time, Joey is most likely drinking coffee while quoting vines and making a complete fool of himself.
