Patrick Hall

Chris Jackiewicz

Chris Jackiewicz '10 (Residence Coordinator) is a senior history major that is returning from a semester abroad in Mexico.  Chris has been a member of the Res Life staff for two years working as a Resident Assistant in both Hanson and Patrick Halls. He is looking forward to taking on the position of Resident Coordinator in Patrick Hall and working closely with both first year and sophomore students.  Chris plans to attend law school after graduation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Erin Cushing

            Erin Cushing '10 (Orientation Leader), a member of the Class of 2010, is from Alexandria, Virginia.  She is an English with a Writing Concentration major and a German minor.  Erin plays women's lacrosse for the Bullets, is an Editor-in-Chief of Gettysburg College's student-run literary magazine, The Bullet, and volunteers at the local Adam's County ASPCA.   Her favorite food from The Bullet Hole is the cheese steak sub and she is secretly terrified of Stevens Hall's "Blue Boy."

 

 

 

 

 

Pat Finn

Pat Finn '11 (Resident Assistant) is a rising junior from Cranbury, NJ. He is an English major and an Art History minor who enjoys experimenting with homemade salsa recipes, browsing through bookstores and visiting museums. Pat is an avid fan of Bob Dylan, and hopes to see him in concert this summer. He really enjoyed his experience as an RA last year and looks forward to meeting his new residents in August.

 

Carolyn Poehner

Carolyn Poehner '12 (Orientation Leader) is a rising sophomore who was born in Connecticut and raised in New Jersey.  She loves to sing, as she is involved in the Gettysburg Concert Choir and Women's Choir and she hopes to be a Music and Psychology double major.  Along with music, Carolyn is very interested in writing and photography.  Her freshman year at Gettysburg College was a memorable one and she hopes to give the incoming class of 2013 the same great first year experience she had!

Jennifer Chavis

Jennifer Chavis '12 (Resident Assistant) is a sophomore from Baltimore, Maryland.  She is a fraternal twin and she has a younger sister. Jennifer is involved in various clubs on campus such as the Black Student Union,  E-race, and the International Club. She enjoys old movies and likes to swim. Jennifer is especially excited to meet the incoming First-year class of 2013.

 

 

 

 

Rob Dalto

Rob Dalto '10 (Orientation Leader), from Darien Connecticut, is a member of the Track and Field team and loves competition and working out.  He is involved in many organizations on campus including Phi Delta Theta, Management Club, St. Jude, SAAC, and he also volunteers his time in the community.  Rob likes to take advantage of his free time by having a good time with his friends.

Hayley Piekut

Hayley Piekut '12 (Resident Assistant) is thrilled to be serving as an RA on Patrick 3 for the upcoming school year.  Coming from a town that is several hundred miles away from Gettysburg -- Hanover, Massachusetts -- she wants to help First-Years with this difficult transition.  As an undeclared major (most likely Theatre major) and music minor, she is involved in Concert Choir, SMut (Student Run Musical Theatre), DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship, Chapel Choir, and is a new member and editor of Gettysburg's all women's music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota.  She loves to travel and has been to Germany and Australia for World Youth Days and is looking forward to studying abroad in the upcoming years. 

Robia Smith-Herman

Robia Smith-Herman '11 (Orientation Leader) is from Silver Spring, MD and attended Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C.  She is a rising junior and a Psychology major with an Africana Studies minor.  She is a sprinter for the Gettysburg College Track and Field team and run the 55, 100, and 200 meter races.  She is an admissions tour guide, a member of the Gettysburg College Invisible Children's Club, and is the philanthropy chair for the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.

 

 

 

 

Chris Neumann

Christian Neumann '12 (Resident Assistant) will be a sophomore this coming year.  He is Environmental Studies major and Spanish minor. He is a member of Habitat for Humanity and played flag football, intramural volleyball, and intramural basketball. He is spending the summer in a small rural Nicaraguan town called Chaguitillo interning for a non-profit organization.

Molly Beyer

Molly Beyer '12 (Orientation Leader), originally from Downingtown, PA (a 40 minute drive from Philadelphia), is excited to meet the incoming class of 2013 and help them transition into college life.  Molly, a psychology major and a German minor, will be a senior this fall.  Outside of the classroom, Molly can be found giving campus tours, peer teaching a small group of German students, tutoring at Wee Care Daycare in town, or helping out with Campus Kitchens.  During the 2008 fall semester, Molly studied abroad in Cologne, Germany and is now a huge advocate of the study abroad experience.  Welcome class of 2013!

Nitzie Flores-Hidalgo '12 (Resident Assistant) is a rising sophomore who happened to land one day in nice peaceful, quiet and beautiful Gettysburg  after crossing borders, mountains, valleys and seas. She was brought forth in the city of eternal spring, Cuernavaca, Mexico. So after leaving the pools, the quesadillas, the green enchiladas, and the nice toasty sun she has decided to come up with better hobbies than just to eat, relax, dance and swim.  She is now seeking a double major of sociology with international affairs, loves to make friends from all over the world and states, loves to bug Frank at the library, get free tea around midnight at library, is part of the international club, loves to volunteer her time to do some social work, works at the college human resource office and the library,  friendly, happy person, loves to travel, is in love with the french culture and she still loves to eat and dance. If you ever need to cheer up or talk to anyone she is the to go person but most important of all she is ecstatic to meet her Patrick 4 residents and have a great year!!!

Melissa  Bobby

Melissa Bobby '12 (Orientation Leader) is from Baltimore, MD and is a member of the class of 2012.  She is chemistry major and plans to go to pharmacy school after graduation.  On campus, Melissa is involved in CAB, Dance Ensemble, Alpha Phi Omega, and CHEERs.  Melissa also enjoys skiing, kayaking, and dancing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Caitlyn Katzelnick

Caitlyn Katzelnick '12 (Resident Assistant) is a sophomore from Hillsborough, NJ.  In high school, she was a three sport varsity athlete playing tennis, basketball, and softball.  She is in love with her yellow Labrador dog Kazzie and her new puppy Maui! She is a health science major and plans to become a physical therapist. She is involved in campus activities such as CHEERS, Alpha Phi Omega (service fraternity), and Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Caitlyn hopes to travel around the world.  She is excited for her first year as a resident assistant and cannot wait to meet the students of Patrick 4!

 

 

 

 

Chris Merkle

Chris Merkle '11 (Orientation Leader) is a junior Music Education major from Lewisburg, PA.  He is involved in many of the college musical ensembles, including "Drop the Octave," the all male a cappella group, and theatrical productions with the Owl and Nightingale players.  He enjoys spending time with his friends, making music, and making the most of his college experience.  After college, Chris plans to teach music for several years before pursuing graduate studies in music, specifically orchestral conducting.
