Danielle Beasley

Danielle Beasley is a senior History major from Brookfield, Connecticut. In high school she played varsity Field Hockey, and took Irish Step dancing for many years. She spent the fall of 2007 studying in Cork, Ireland. Back on campus she keeps very busy. She has served on the Student Senate since her first year as a class representative, and has been a part of several committees that are related to the student government in one way or another. She is also a member and co-leader of C.H.E.E.R.S., the Colleges only peer education group, and Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

Scott Bye

Scott Bye is a sophomore health science major and biology minor from West Chester, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the co-ed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, and the biology club, Biosphere. Next year Scott will be a Resident Assistant in upper class housing. When he is not studying, Scott enjoys going to the beach, reading, running, and hanging out with friends. He cannot wait to meet the class of 2012!

Amanda Caliguri

Amanda Caligiuri is a senior from Yardley, PA. She is a history and film double major and has a minor in French. While at Gettysburg she has been very active in the Campus Activities Board, Spectrum Yearbook, and Residence Life and will be in Rice for the 3rd time! She hopes to pursue a career that combines her love of history and the medias and is looking to work for the History Channel, National Geographic, or the BBC. That being said, she does not want to graduate yet because she has had such a good time at Gettysburg!

Andrew Johnson

Andrew Johnson is a member of the class of 2009, an Economics major and Spanish minor with a History concentration. Andrew hopes to gain some experience in the business realm before settling down to a teaching career, possibly teaching English in a Hispanic nation. He was raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and came to Gettysburg College because of the beautiful area and the intimate size of the institution. He is impressed by the professional yet calm academic atmosphere here. It both challenges him to excel and encourages him on an upright career path. Now as an upperclassman, Andrew hopes to transfer some of his familiarity with Gettysburg College to the next incoming class.

Maggie Fridinger

Maggie Fridinger is a native resident of Hampstead, MD, and a graduate of Maryvale Preparatory School. This coming year she will be a sophomore here at Gettysburg College. During her first year she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega and Amnesty International, tutored at El Centro, wrote for the Gettysburgian, went to Washington, DC over Fall Reading Days for a community service trip, and played intramural lacrosse and basketball. For her major, she is currently undeclared, but heavily considering a major in Political Science and Spanish. In her extra time she enjoys outdoor excursions, black and white photography, and watching the Food Network!

Anukul Gurung is a senior from the Himalayan nation of Nepal. (And, before you ask, he has not climbed Mount Everest.) He enjoys outdoor adventures such as trekking, whitewater rafting, and kayaking. Anukul also loves to travel and is fascinated by the different cultures around the world. He is very excited to be an RA for his second year, and is looking forward to another great year with his new residents.

Cathy Mainardi

Cathy Mainardi is a sophomore Music Education major and Spanish minor from Boonton, New Jersey. A guitar and horn player, Cathy performs in the Gettysburg College Jazz Ensemble, Symphony Band, Wind Ensemble, and sings in Women's Choir. Cathy plays intramural soccer, tutors English at the Adams County Literacy Council, and volunteer tour guides on campus.

Hugh McStravick is a Political Science major with a focus on International Conflict Management. Aside from schoolwork, Hugh is involved in several campus activities and volunteers throughout the campus and community, including the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, the Student Senate, among other campus committees. He also enjoys photography and the outdoors.

Lynn O'Connell was born in Queens, New York where she had lived all her life. She grew up in a family of 6 children. In high school Lynn was a member of the soccer and track teams. During the past 6 summers she volunteered for one week in Esopus, NY as a counselor at a camp for Deaf Children and worked as a lifeguard the other weeks. One of her goals in life is to become fluent in Spanish and Sign Language. At Gettysburg College Lynn is an Economics major, a member of Chi Omega Sorority and works as an intramural supervisor.

Matt Rush was born in North Brunswick, New Jersey and then moved to Connecticut, and finally to Lenox, Massachusetts as a seventh grader, where he lives now. Matt played five sports in high school, but came to Gettysburg to be part of the Swim Team. He is a Political Science major with a minor in History and Economics. At Gettysburg College, Matt is the Captain of the Men's Swim Team, part of the Law and Justice Society as well as a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

Robin DeMarco

Robin DeMarco is a junior psychology major with a minor in studio art. She grew up in Pennsylvania and couldn't be happier living in Gettysburg. Robin has many interests and hobbies and she is very involved on campus. Dance Ensemble, Psi Chi Honor Society, Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, and intramural soccer and volleyball are just some of the clubs and organizations that she is involved in. Robin is very excited to be on staff for her second year and can't wait to get back to the burg to meet all the new first year students. She hopes to get to know each and every new student on Rice 3 and can't wait to begin sharing memories that will last them a life time.

Ben Winston is a sophomore student, pursuing a Computer Science major and Writing minor.  He comes from Glastonbury, Connecticut, and is actively involved in the Gettysburg College community.  He regularly tutors children from the town of Gettysburg, and is an editor on the Mercury Literary Magazine's poetry staff.  He is anxious to meet and get to know the incoming class of 2012!
