For those choosing to purchase a non-recommended computer, the computer MUST use one of the following operating systems to connect to the Gettysburg College network: Windows XP Professional SP2 Windows Vista Business Windows Vista Enterprise Windows Vista Ultimate Mac OS 10.4.11 or higher Gettysburg College will not provide network/internet access for the following operating systems: Windows 98; NT; 2000; XP Home; Media Center, Vista Home, Vista Home Premium, Windows 7, Mac OS earlier than 10.4.11; Linux; UNIX or any other operating system not specifically permitted.
**Windows 7 has NOT been approved with the Gettysburg network and therefore will not be accepted on campus as a valid operating system. We are completing further compatibility test and are willing to provide updates on the process upon request with IT.
