Parents Fund Volunteer
Objective:
One of the most important goals of the Parents Fund is to increase the number of parents who support Gettysburg College each year. Through their leadership by example, parents will instill the importance of philanthropy in their children who will go on to support Gettysburg as alumni.
Parents Fund Volunteer responsibilities:
- Make a gift of any amount to the Parents Fund
- Make 4-9 calls to current parents to ask for a gift of any amount and increase participation to the Parents Fund
- Work with Development staff to identify and recruit other Parent Fund volunteers
- Act as a liaison between the Development Office and parents to relate concerns and issues from parents to the College administration
- Participate in the development of ideas for creating gift and stewardship opportunities and enhancing the structure for the Parents Fund
Estimated time commitment:
1 fall and 1 spring call assignment period lasting approximately 10 days each. All materials for the solicitation program will be provided by the Office of Annual Giving.
