Frieda Behrens earned her induction with a pace few could match in cross country and on the track. As a harrier, Behrens earned all-conference and all-region accolades twice each while helping the team to a 26-3 dual meet record. She led the team to an undefeated dual meet season in 1992 (7-0) and a second-place showing at the 1991 MAC Championships. On the track, Behrens ran past the competition to school records in the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races. A two-time all-conference selection, she won the 1993 10,000 meters with a school-record and NCAA qualifying time, while helping the team to a third-place finish.
