Jack Hathaway was a two-sport standout for Gettysburg in the late 50s, including leading the men's soccer team to one of its most successful seasons. As a fullback on the soccer team, Hathaway earned All-Middle Atlantic Conference honors twice as a junior and senior. During his junior season, he helped the team post a 9-1-2 record - the best record in the history of the program up to that point. Hathaway helped the defense post three shutouts and tallied the game-winning goal against Wilkes. He was also a three-year starter as a guard on the men's hoops team, playing in 66 games and totaling 311 points and 202 rebounds.
