Turkey Dinner - A Gettysburg Tradition
What do you do with 224 turkeys, 2,000 students, and 100 faculty and staff volunteers? Serve Thanksgiving dinner, of course!
Each year the dining center hosts Thanksgiving dinner for the student body. Students are asked to come to dinner in groups of 12 and are prepared a roasted turkey, bowls of cranberry sauce, corn, whipped potatoes, and gravy, and served by members of the campus community. During this Gettysburg tradition, students also carve their own turkeys.
