In an effort to make the sanctioning process clearer and more consistent, the College has created a point system.  If a student is found responsible for violation(s) of College policy, the student will be assigned point(s) in lieu of or in addition to the sanctions described above.

Points will be assigned, along with any other sanction, at the conclusion of the hearing process.  Although points may be forgiven over a period of time, points may also accumulate.

If a student accumulates ten (10) or more points, the student will be separated from the College for a period of time to be determined by the judicial board or hearing officer, but no less than one full semester.

The point grid shows examples of violations and the associated point values.  When there is a point range associated with the behavior; the assignment of points will be based on the seriousness of the incident.
