Congratulations on your acceptance to Gettysburg College! We would be happy to speak with you regarding your financial aid award or to review options for financing a Gettysburg education.
Required Steps to Finalize Your Financial Aid Award
- File the FAFSA and PROFILE (had been due February 15)
- Copies of 2013 W-2 Forms for Parent(s) and Student
- Signed copies of 2013 IRS Tax Returns for Parent(s) and Student
- The Gettysburg College Reconciliation Worksheet (PDF)
Financial Aid awards are preliminary until all of the required documents are submitted. You will be notified via email or letter when your financial aid award has been finalized.
If there are significant changes in family or financial information from what was submitted on the FAFSA and PROFILE, the Office of Financial Aid will review a student’s award and determine if adjustments are necessary.
Financing Options at Gettysburg College
In addition to need-based financial aid awards and academic merit scholarships, there are many financing options available to students and families at Gettysburg, including an interest-free 10 or 12-month payment plan.
We encourage you to contact the Office of Financial Aid at email@example.com or 717-337-6611 with any questions as you determine what is best for your family.
Outside Scholarships or Other Aid
Outside scholarships or other forms of financial aid that are not listed on your Financial Aid Award Notification should be reported to the Office of Financial Aid. If necessary, adjustments will be made to a student's financial aid award by reducing self-help (student loans or work-study). When the outside scholarship exceeds the amount of work-study and/or loan awards, the Gettysburg College grant may need to be adjusted.
Complete the Outside Scholarship Form.
Renewing Financial Aid
Gettysburg students and families must reapply for need-based financial aid each year by April 15.
Currently, continuing students must only submit the FAFSA. The CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE is not required for continuing students.
