*Bear in mind that not all families applying for financial aid are eligible to receive assistance. For some, the results of the PROFILE and FAFSA analysis indicate a lack of eligibility.
Family income includes all sources of taxed and untaxed income for both student and parents. Bear in mind that family income is one component of the various financial aid calculations which determine need. Assets, family size and number of family members in college are not reflected in the above chart.
Average eligibility takes into account all sources of financial aid including scholarships, grants, loans and employment. Initial financial aid awards would have been somewhat less since the amounts above were calculated as of September 1, 2007 and included both student and parent loans.
