Gettysburg College is pleased to accept Tuition Exchange applications each year from member institutions under the guidelines of the Tuition Exchange (TE) organization. Supporting the educational opportunities of the children of colleagues in higher education is important to us, and we are pleased to be a part of this service.
Applicants for Gettysburg's Tuition Exchange Scholarships must be certified as TE candidates by their exporting institution and meet Gettysburg's general admission requirements. Tuition Exchange applicants who meet these requirements and who are accepted to the College shall be ranked by the admissions office according to academic profile and then reviewed for TE scholarship selection.
The total number of TE scholarship recipients shall be established by the Office of Enrollment & Educational Services in accordance with the Tuition Exchange regulations regarding import and export ratios. Gettysburg College awards TE scholarships to first year applicants only with consideration given to transfer applicants and upper class students if spaces are available.
TE scholarship funds may be used only for tuition charges. If the student receives other "tuition only" scholarships, adjustments to the awards will be necessary.
Gettysburg College awards Tuition Exchange Scholarships to applicants with the strongest academic credentials who have been admitted as Early Decision candidates on a rolling basis after December 15th. Students not receiving a Tuition Exchange Scholarship will be deferred until final TE decisions are made in mid-March. Students have the option to roll their acceptance into the Regular Decision admission plan at this time.
Students who receive a Tuition Exchange Scholarship are not considered for Gettysburg College Institutional Grant funds. If you are interested in applying for Federal Financial Aid, including the Stafford or PLUS loan, or learning about additional financing options such as the interest-free monthly payment plan, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 717-337-6611 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tuition Exchange applicants must also file a Gettysburg College application with the admissions office. Students for whom Gettysburg is a first choice are encouraged to apply for Early Decision admission. Gettysburg offers two Early Decision rounds; the ED I application deadline is November 15 and the ED II deadline is January 15. Applicants for Regular Decision admission should apply by February 1.
For questions about the admissions process, please contact the admissions office at 800-431-0803 or 717-337-6100 or email@example.com.
The Tuition Exchange scholarship recipient may receive the award for a total of 8 semesters of full-time undergraduate study, including Gettysburg-affiliated study abroad programs. The TE officer of the exporting institution is responsible for certifying the TE scholars each year. Gettysburg will renew the scholarship upon receipt of the annual certification document, provided the student is in good academic and social standing. In addition, the scholarship recipient must remain current in payment of charges not covered by the Tuition Exchange in order to receive a scholarship renewal.
