Prospective Students
Early Decision Accepted Early Decision applicants will receive a financial aid decision within two weeks of the admission letter if the PROFILE was filed on a timely basis. Otherwise the financial aid decision will be made as soon as possible after the PROFILE analysis is received by the College.
Regular Decision In addition to the PROFILE, Early and Regular Decision applicants must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after January 1 and before February 15. The Gettysburg College federal school code for the FAFSA is 003268. If there is not enough space on the FAFSA for all the institutions you have under consideration, other schools can be added after initial processing by calling the Federal Student Aid Programs at 1-800-4-FEDAID or by using the FAFSA website. If you prefer to complete the FAFSA by mail, a paper version should be available in the high school guidance office. Regular Decision applicants will receive a financial aid decision with their admissions acceptance letter if the PROFILE and FAFSA are on file in the Office of Financial Aid. Otherwise the financial aid decision will be made as soon as possible after the analyses are received by the College. Students who enroll at Gettysburg College are expected to provide copies of the federal tax returns and W-2 Forms for themselves and their parents along with a Verification Worksheet. Details will be provided with the Financial Aid Award Notification. |

Transfer Students Transfer students who are applying for admission in the Fall semester should submit the Financial Aid PROFILE before April 15. The Gettysburg College Code Number for the PROFILE is 2275. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must also be filed after January 1 and before April 15. Applicants for Spring semester should submit only the FAFSA by December 1. The Gettysburg College federal school code for the FAFSA is 003268. Students who enroll at Gettysburg College are expected to provide copies of the federal tax returns for themselves and their parents along with a Verification Worksheet. Details will be provided with the Financial Aid Award Notification. International Students International students who are applying for financial aid should submit the International Student Financial Aid Application and the Certification of Finances Form by February 15 for applicants for fall admission or April 15 for continuing students. Continuing Students Continuing students who are applying for financial aid must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 15. The Federal Student Aid Programs should send students who completed a FAFSA during the previous year a renewal FAFSA. If the student included an email address, the renewal FAFSA will be sent electronically. Students need to share this information with their parents. The Gettysburg College federal school code is 003268. A PIN should be included in the renewal FAFSA information. If necessary the procedures for obtaining a new or duplcate PIN are available at http://www.pin.ed.gov/PIN. Copies of the federal tax returns for the student and parents along with a Verification Worksheet must be provided to the Office of Financial Aid by April 15. NOTE: The Financial Aid PROFILE is not required for continuing students. Due to Satisfactory Academic Progress verification requirements, we will not begin mailing awards until after we are able to review spring grades. |
