Processed Manuscripts

Manuscripts are stored in Special Collection's closed stacks. Request individual files by number at the Reference Desk in our Reading Room.

  • Manuscript Collections - Full descriptive inventories for large collections of personal papers, faculty papers, and student organizations. Paper copies are on file in our Reading Room.
  • Vertical File Manuscripts - An alphabetical list of single folder manuscript collections ranging from one page to 50 pages.
  • Civil War Vertical File Manuscripts - An alphabetical list of smaller manuscript collections pertaining to the Civil War. See the Civil War subject guide for more Civil War materials.
  • Miscellaneous Volumes - A listing of bound manuscripts that deal almost exclusively with the history of Gettysburg (Pennsylvania) College.
