Panhellenic Council

Type: Social

Panhellenic Council

The Gettysburg College Panhellenic Council is the governing body of the sororities at Gettysburg.  The five active chapters that are a part of this council are Alpha Delta Pi, Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, and Sigma Sigma Sigma.

The national sororities at Gettysburg were founded on the principles of leadership, service, philanthropy, and scholarship.  Sororities host and participate in philanthropy events and service projects.  Each sorority offers its own unique opportunities for members to develop a deeper sense of self, acquire leadership skills and become more involved with other campus activities.

Academics are the first priority of every sorority at Gettysburg and women interested in joining a sorority must be of sophomore status and obtain a minimum GPA of a 2.2.  Some sororities require a higher GPA for membership.
