Bachelor of Music in Performance
The Bachelor of Music in Performance Degree enables students to focus on music performance training in the context of a comprehensive liberal arts education.

This degree stresses participation in chamber ensembles each semester as a primary means of developing musicianship.
Distinctive to this course is a performance studies seminar that provides Bachelor of Music students opportunities to discuss and explore areas of interest unique to music performance, including analytical listening skills, professional auditions, working with management, performance anxiety, networking and studio management. Students learn to integrate material from core courses in music theory, history and conducting into daily practice and score preparation.
This degree prepares students for culminating performances in junior and senior recitals. Most students in this program will pursue graduate study. Many will go on to professional careers as opera or orchestral musicians, free-lance musicians, conductors, or professors of higher education. Some will pursue careers in arts related careers such as arts administration.
