Classical music to be performed April 20
GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Classical music will be performed April 20 at Gettysburg College.
The noon recital will take place in Musselman Library's Apse, located on the first floor, as part of the library's Notes at Noon Program. Sunderman Conservatory of Music professor Daniel Levitov will perform works designed for cello and piano as composed by Back, Dvorak and Zoltan.
In addition to teaching, Levitov is a member of the Sunderman Trio and coordinator of preparatory cello and chamber music at the Peabody Institute. He performs regularly with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and frequently with Baltimore's Chamber Music by Candlelight series. He is also the conductor of the Peabody Young Artists Orchestra. Levitov instructs master classes and workshops across the country and is on the faculty of the Killington Music Festival.
Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with approximately 2,600 students. It is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.
