Gettysburg College Contemporary and World Percussion Ensemble to perform May 1
GETTYSBURG, P.a. - The Gettysburg College Contemporary and World Percussion Ensemble will perform May 1 at Gettysburg College.
The 7 p.m. performance will take place in Schmucker Hall's Paul Recital Hall located along North Washington Avenue. The Contemporary and World Percussion Ensemble performs percussion music from Western and non-Western musical traditions, using a diverse range of percussion instruments. This performance will also feature the Bollywood-Bhangra Dance Ensemble, a group that performs a mix of Bollywood, Bhangra and modern Western dances, choreographed by Gettysburg College student Navdeep Sokhey.
Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with approximately 2,600 students. It is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania. The college was founded in 1832.
