Symphony Orchestra Concert, October 17, 8:00pm

On Saturday, October 17, at 8:00pm at the Majestic Theatre the Sunderman Conservatory Symphony Orchestra will perform the opening concert of it's 2009-2010 season!

The Orchestra concert is entitled "Forces of Destiny" and features music that uses the full range and power of the symphony orchestra to depict the demands and power of fate. The evening opens with a performance of Verdi's dramatic overture to the opera La forza del Destino ("The Force of Destiny"). Next on the program is Mozart's Flute Concerto in G Major, performed by Concerto Competition winner Paul McShee. The evening concludes with Beethoven's immortal and gripping Symphony No. 5.
