Faculty Recital with Professor Edward Stanley, October 25, 8:00pm

 The Sunderman Conservatory of Music will present a faculty recital on Sunday evening October 25^th,  at 8:000pm in Christ Chapel on the Gettysburg College campus. The program will be presented by Ed Stanley, Assistant Professor of Oboe and David Erickson, Chapel Organist and will feature music from the 19^th, 20^th and 21^st centuries for organ and oboe.

Mr. Stanley will play not only the oboe but also the oboe d'amore and English horn, both larger members of the oboe family, in compositions that explore the sonic and expressive capabilities of the three instruments in concert with the magnificent organ of Christ Chapel. Featured composers include Josef Rheinberger, Samuel Barber, and Frank Martin.
