“The YALP program has provided yet another volunteer opportunity for me to
connect with Gettysburg College and with fellow alumni. My mentee, Bill,
and I talk every week and share our experiences, challenges and successes
in our careers and our daily lives. While the primary focus of the program
is to help young alumni like Bill develop leadership skills through counsel
and support as they progress through the early stages of their careers, I
have found that he has helped shape my own leadership and management
approach. Our regular conversations remind me of the challenges my own team
faces, and contribute to my own personal and professional growth.”
