Stine Hall

All first-year students live in one of the two first-year quads. Placement for first-year students is based on course selection and registration as a part of the First-Year Residential College Program. Residence hall living, a vital component of the Gettysburg Experience, is intended to facilitate the personal growth and development of each student. Stine Hall is named for former College trustee Charles Stine.

Stine Hall houses 115 first-year students. Each room typically houses two students, with male and female bathrooms on each floor.  All bathrooms in Stine Hall accommodate more than one person at a time and are single gender (male or female).

Each of the 62 rooms in Stine Hall has a MicroFridge, at least one window shade, a bookshelf, and mirror.  Each student is provided with an extra-long bed (39 inches x 80 inches x 6 1/2 inches), a desk and chair; a dresser and closet space. There is approximately 15 inches between the floor and the bottom of the bed. Students may loft or bunk their beds by acquiring the additional pieces necessary to do so. These pieces will be available in your building lobby during the first several weeks of the fall semester, including first-year move-in day.

For those interested in bringing a rug for your room, a good size approximation is 9' x 12'. Learn more about personalizing your room, including what you may or may not bring to campus.
