A native of the Northwoods, Dan Albertson has been the Associate Director of the Center for Global Education since 2014. By day, Dan can be found in his preferred windowless office all afternoons advising students on their global study plans, coordinating campus visits, overseeing the Global Leaders of Gettysburg College, and leading battle field tours for our visiting partners. By night, he frequents the diners and crab shacks along the Mason-Dixon line.
He spent his formative years in the settings of “Fargo” developing a love of cold weather and hot beverages. Before joining the Center for Global Education, Dan served as Study Away Advisor at Concordia College where he earlier studied religion and physics as an undergrad. At “Cord,” Dan studied globally in Egypt, Greece, and Turkey and he remains a proud Cobber. He also received an MA in Religion from the Divinity School at the University of Chicago. Outside of his professional duties, Dan enjoys travelling to places poorly served by mass transportation and learning the etymology of these place-names.
