Study abroad location and semester:

Valparaíso, Chile Spring 2012 (SIT) and Sevilla, Spain Fall 2012 (IUS)

Major/minor:

Spanish and Latin American Studies Double Major and Peace and Justice Studies minor

Hometown:

Bethesda, Maryland

Favorite abroad experience:

I cannot limit my favorite abroad experience to just one event, because the most enriching aspect of studying abroad for me was the day to day living with various host families. Learning about a culture through sharing meals and ideas with a family is incomparable.

Why I joined GLGC:

I joined the GLGC to keep the abroad spark within me alive, and encourage others to study abroad because it is amazing!

Plans after graduation:

My plans are largely up in the air, but as of right now I hope to volunteer somewhere in Latin America for a couple of years following graduation. Ultimately, I hope to work with Latino immigrants in the United States.
