Course Description:
In this course, we will use economic theory to analyze the operation of sports organizations at the professional and collegiate levels. Central themes of this study of the economics of sports include the organization of the sports institutions, the use of strategic behavior by management and labor, the role of public policy, sports markets, and the exercise of monopoly power.
