Grecia Chirinos Delgado

Native Speaker - Grecia Chirinos, a native of Peru, is teaching at the elementary level of Spanish. She attended Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, where she completed her major in Literature and Linguistics and received her B.A. in Humanities. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Spanish at Middlebury College. She worked as a Foreign Language Assistant at the College of the Holy Cross when she finished her undergraduate studies. In 2012, she arrived to Gettysburg College to work as a Spanish Teaching Assistant for the next two academic years. During that time, she also started a Pronunciation Workshop for students of advanced levels of Spanish and worked along the Latin American Student Association (LASA). In addition to her work as a T.A., she participated as a speaker in One Billion Rising and Take Back The Night, events sponsored by The Women’s Center of Gettysburg College. She is interested in women’s rights, equality, and wishes for a world free of violence.
