CWI Director Pete Carmichael will speak on his new book, The War for the Common Soldier, at Gettysburg College's Musselman Library at 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 28. Drawing heavily on letters and records left behind by individual soldiers from both the North and the South, the soldier will focus on men in the ranks endured the brutal and unpredictable existence of army life during the war years. Free and open to the public, the talk will take place on the ground floor of the library, in Room 018. Refreshments will follow.
