Harner Room

This study room is named in honor of Reverend John Wilson Harner, graduate of Gettysburg College, Class of 1937. It is a gift from his wife, Catherine M. Harner of Littlestown Pennsylvania and their son Royall Harner, of Capitola-by-the-Sea, California.

After graduating from Gettysburg College John Harner attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, graduating in 1940. He was ordained in 1941.

The Reverend Harner was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America serving faithfully for more than forty years. He held the title of Pastor Emeritus at the Grace Lutheran Church in Reading, Pennsylvania until the time of his death in 1998.
