Participants will receive a $500 stipend. Housing, meals, and transportation to/from Bryn Mawr (from Gettysburg or a similar distance) will be covered.
The Gettysburg student extern(s) will have the opportunity to be employed in Musselman Library in Fall 2019, as well.
Students from Bryn Mawr, Gettysburg, Haverford, Lafayette and Swarthmore Colleges will explore the field of library and information science, including careers in libraries, archives, museums, etc. The week will include presentations, discussions, readings, and field trips - this is not a traditional job shadowing experience.
