Gettysburg College is committed to strengthening American democracy. A pillar of this work is developing an informed and educated citizenry.

Sept. 22, 2022, marked the first day of classes for the College’s new online master’s program in American history—a seminal moment in our nearly two centuries of academic excellence. Through a collaboration with longtime partner, the non-profit Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, we will provide K-12 teachers with a deeper understanding of American history and inspire a generation of scholars to advance Lincoln’s “unfinished work.”
