What course/internship experience during your global study semester allowed you to learn something new and exciting?

My voice teacher, although I've been studying voice for many years, no teacher has ever been like her. She changed the course of my life and my voice for the better.

How have your global studies related to one of the 7 Enduring Skills?

My study abroad put to the test my adaptability, the culture, and everyday life in Vienna are very different than they are in the U.S. but I wanted to actively put myself in situations that would test my adaptability and in connection my communication. As a singer, I enjoy learning languages and believe that is the best way to truly connect with other people. I developed my creativity when communicating with others at a time when sometimes I didn't know a word for something as well as being flexible when something from Viennese culture was new to me. When my friends and I found ourselves in difficult or uncomfortable situations I developed my leadership skills, my problem- solving skills, and my team work. being abroad changed who I am for the better and I cannot wait to share that with others.
