Applicants and Admission

Gettysburg College enrolled 497 students for the Class of 2029, selected from 7,929 applications. Of the students in the class, about 43% enrolled under Early Decision.

Academic Quality

  • 42% of the students have a class rank in the top 10% of their high school graduating class.
  • 75% of the students have a class rank in the top 25% of their high school graduating class.
  • The average SAT score is 1374 and the median score is 1380–with a middle 50% for critical reading of 650-720 and a middle 50% for math of 630-760.
  • The average ACT score is 30–with a middle 50% of 28-32.

Financial Aid

  • Nearly $100 million in financial aid was awarded for the 2025-26 academic year, benefiting 90% of the student body.
