Investing in Academic Excellence
Campaign Goal: $20 Million
A Gettysburg education helps students develop as critical thinkers, persuasive communicators, and leaders of conviction. These abilities are vital in a classroom and in a boardroom; on a laboratory bench and in a city council chamber; in intercollegiate competition and in entrepreneurial pursuits; in campus organizations and in raising families, serving communities, and building careers of joy and achievement.
You can directly elevate the influence of a Gettysburg education for all students by supporting campaign investments in the following:
- Endowed and named faculty positions and professorships that will strengthen our ability to recruit, retain, and support the teacher-scholars who shape student learning, personal growth, and ambition every day.
- New and existing academic programs, including:
- Our new majors in finance, public health policy, and communications studies
- Our new Master of Education program
- New pathway partnerships that offer accelerated and streamlined admission to graduate and professional programs. Such programs attract students, inspire them to aim high, and create exciting learning experiences that transform career beginnings.
- Teaching tools that will help students and faculty keep pace with the continuing technological revolution. Ensure that students and faculty have the latest technology and teaching tools, including the most effective and ethical uses of AI, so each class of new graduates stands out in the job market and in pursuing graduate school.
- The Writing Center will serve all Gettysburg students—from beginning writers to advanced students pursuing fellowships, publishing research, writing theses, or preparing graduate applications—while offering mobile tutoring through a Writing Fellows program and serving as a campus forum on generative AI in writing and learning.
“I arrived at Gettysburg as a nervous and lost first-gen student, and the faculty here changed my life. I am so lucky to have had them as professors then, and to have them as colleagues now.”
