Alumni Volunteering: Mentoring

The mission of Alumni Mentoring at Gettysburg college is a collaborative partnership between alumni mentors and undergraduate mentees, with a primary emphasis on career development and transitioning to post-college life. This relationship is founded on mutual respect, shared experiences, and a commitment to supporting the mentee's successful transition into the workforce or further education.

At the conclusion of their sophomore year, students will have the option of adding an alumni mentor to their Personal Advising Team, which includes their faculty advisor, career advisor, and a co-curricular advisor, who will assist them in defining their career goals and building their professional network. Learn more about the Gettysburg Approach.

Goals/Objectives

Gettysburg College’s Mentoring Program is designed to leverage the knowledge and experience of its alumni population to support the personal, academic, and professional success of its students. Students will have the opportunity to learn “real world” life skills that will help them navigate their own very unique journey.
