The Parents Leadership Council (PLC) is the leadership-giving society for current parents at Gettysburg College. The PLC brings together Gettysburg College parents who provide philanthropic support of college programs for the benefit of our students. The group experiences a unique connection and relationship with the College and other PLC parents.
Enrich
The Parents Leadership Council is Gettysburg’s leadership-giving society for parents. Members contribute to Gettysburg with annual gifts of at least $5,000. This support enriches the Gettysburg Fund and other areas of the College that are meaningful to each PLC family.
Engage
Members of the PLC can engage with the campus community in unique ways. There are invitations to private events during Family Weekend and throughout the year. You can participate in exclusive virtual programs and social gatherings. The PLC is periodically briefed by campus leaders and asked to provide feedback, serving as a focus group as called upon. The PLC spring weekend pulls it all together with activities during which you will spend time with college leadership, learning, and socializing with PLC families.
Elevate
We seek to elevate the Gettysburg experience for members of the Parents Leadership Council. You will have a PLC point-of-contact throughout your Gettysburg years. There will be at least one person at Gettysburg who you know you can call with questions or to share your feedback. At commencement, PLC members have access to VIP seating for up to six guests.
"The PLC has enabled us to connect with other parents who are passionate about Gettysburg College, interact with college leadership, and participate in special events that are both informative and fun." Caroline & Dylan Minor P'26, PLC Co-Chairs
If they choose, members may further assist Gettysburg College through Advancement, Career Engagement, Family Relations, and Admissions initiatives.
