3D Object Modeling and Printing Camp

June 21–26, 2020

Campers will learn the process of 3D printing from initial design to final print. They will utilize their creativity to design and build multiple objects, including their own miniature city. This is a novice level course with no previous 3D object modeling or printing knowledge needed. Campers will learn:

  • To use software to design simple objects from scratch and to modify existing objects to their vision.
  • To print their models using the 3D printer that they will get to take home!
  • The inner workings and parts of a 3D printer.

Where: Gettysburg College campus

When: June 21–26, 2020

Cost: $1,395 for lodging for five nights, meals, activities, and the 3D printer

Build a Bot and Code It Too

June 21–26, 2020

Campers will gain hands-on experience in coding, wiring electronics, and building robots through open source software and hardware. This camp is an introduction into the world of coding robotics and electronics.

Civil War Era Studies Camp

July 5–10, 2020

Civil War Era Studies Camp provides rising high school Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors an immersive experience into Civil War history.

Camp Psych

July 12–17, 2020

Camp Psych provides rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors a window into how psychological science works. Campers will get hands-on experience that introduces them to research in psychology in a fun, challenging, and engaging environment. Campers will not simply learn about cutting edge issues and research in psychology this camp gives students an insider view of the field as well as preparation for college studies.

Young Writers Workshop

July 12-17, 2020

Come enjoy a college-level creative writing experience. In our seminars and workshops you will develop your unique writing voice, and write your own story in one or more genres--poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and writing for stage and screen. Prepare to be inspired.

Civil War Institute Summer Conference Scholarship

June 12–17, 2020 (application deadline Feb. 15)

The High School Student Scholarship Program component of Gettysburg College’s annual Civil War Institute summer conference provides high school students an opportunity to explore the history of the Civil War era on the site of the war’s most decisive battle. Participants will join conference sessions, interact with noted historians, and participate in special tours and programming geared toward high school students, including a historical simulation activity revolving around the 1863 New York City Draft Riots.

Cost: No Charge (students are responsible for their own transportation to/from Gettysburg)

Gettysburg College hosts the following athletic camps:

Football

  • Football Team Camp for boys in grades 9–12 (June 30-July 2, 2020)
  • Battlefield 7-on-7 Team Passing Tournament (June 28, 2020)
  • Prospect Camp for boys entering grades 11–12 (June 29, 2020)
