About the Donors

This endowment was established in the name of G. Kenneth Newbould, Class of 1931, and his wife Mary J. Newbould from the estate of Kenneth H. Newbould, Class of 1958. Kenneth H. Newbould is the son of G. Kenneth Newbould. While a student at Gettysburg College, the elder Newbould was a member of SAE, Pen and Sword, and Alpha Psi Epsilon (economics fraternity). He worked as a newspaper editor. His son was a history major and practiced law in Albany, NY.

This endowment supports our oral history program, which began in1989. The library records and collects oral histories related to World War II, the Vietnam War and Gettysburg College history among other topics. Many of the interviews were conducted by students from the Historical Methods class. Read more in the Spring 2013 Friends of Musselman Library Newsletter, p. 16.
