Stationery and Signage

Stationery and invitations

Print

Every letter, business card, and presentation is an opportunity to build recognition for, and connections to, the College. Consistent use of our collateral system strengthens our visual identity and contributes to our institutional image as a whole.

Printed official stationery including letterhead, notecards, envelopes, business cards, and invitations can be ordered through our on-campus print shop. They can be reached at printshop@gettysburg.edu or 717-337-6455 (or ext. 6455 when dialed from on campus).

Electronic

Electronic templates for letterhead and PowerPoint presentations have been carefully created by the Design team, and are available to all employees to download here.

Paper stock and material

There are endless types of paper and substrates in various finishes and weights, that can be used in your projects. Within the past couple of years we as an institution have moved nearly exclusively to white uncoated stock. This type of paper gives you, and our audience, a more tactile experience when holding a printed piece in their hands. We request that you also use a white uncoated stock such as Accent Opaque, in an appropriate weight for your project. For example, Accent Opaque text white smooth in 60 lb. is recommended for letters, where Accent Opaque cover white smooth in 80 lb. works well for notecards. Coated stocks may be used if your project calls specifically for it, such as when printing photographs only, or a poster.

If you have questions regarding which type of paper or material is best for your project, please consult with a member of the design team, or with a member or the Print Shop if you are collaborating with them.

Signage

Campus signage is critical for wayfinding on campus by community members and visitors. Communications & Marketing collaborates with Facilities on campus signage to ensure clarity and consistent branding.
